Welcome to Shaler Area Inline Hockey. Shaler Area Inline
Hockey was founded to provide students the opportunity to represent our
school district in the sport of Inline Hockey. Founded in 2000, by Al
Andrzejczyk, Shaler Area entered four teams in the inaugural season. This
season our program has expanded to include a total of twelve teams in four
age divisions. The teams are made up of three Elementary, four Middle
school, two Jr. Varsity and three Varsity teams. There are over 24 school
districts that compete in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey
League. The P.I.R.H.L. is the fourth largest organization of its kind in the
U.S. as recognized by the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) of which we are a

Varsity Tier 1
The road to the State Championship goes
through SHALER. The Shaler Area Inline Hockey team beats three time
State Champion North Allegheny in dramatic fashion this past weekend. In
the third and final game of the tied series, Shaler started the third
period trailing NA 4 to 1. With only 2 minutes left in the game, Shaler
was down 4 – 2. The Titans managed to tie the game and send it into
overtime. With 1 minute and 21 seconds left in overtime, Shaler sinks
the final goal to bring home the Penguins Cup. Please help us
congratulate the P.I.R.H.L. Championship team. Your Titans: Bobby
Dobson, Billy Dobson, Matt Maione, Sean McCue, Jeremy Monteverde, Glenn
Porter, Brandon Stott, and Goalie Joe Hlovchiec. Congratulations and
good luck to you all as you travel to Philadelphia to bring home the
State Championship on April 6th.

Middle School Tier 3

Our Middle School Tier 1 team makes history by being the first team
in the organization’s history to win a tier one championship in the Middle
School Division. This team was the number one of 25 other teams. Please help
us congratulate these members: Luke Vogel, Bobby Hlovchiec, Michael
Stelitano, Mark Zalakar, Adam Mackawicz, Joe Dorow, Mike Klena, Joe Sobolak
and Cameron Stott.
