Welcome to Shaler Area Inline Hockey
Shaler Area Inline Hockey was founded in 2000 to provide students the opportunity to represent our school district in the sport of Inline Hockey.
Shaler Area students in grades 2 through 12 are eligible. Students from other schools are also eligible to play for Shaler if your school does not have an inline hockey team. Both boys and girls are welcome!!
What you need to know:
The season starts in September and runs through March
18 games plus playoffs
Players in grades 2 thru 12
If you’re from a school district that does not have an inline team you are eligible to play for Shaler
Games are held in various rinks nearby (RMU, Bridgeville, Murrysville, etc.)
It’s a great sport for both girls and boys!!
For the 2020-21 season, our program have three teams in two age divisions. The teams were made up of one Middle School team, and two High School teams (our Elementary team joined forces with Upper Saint Clair). There are 20 school districts (over 80 teams) that compete in the PIRHL (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey League) which is the largest scholastic organization in the United States as recognized by the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union)
Don't forget to check out our "Team Stats" page to follow along with our teams' schedules, scores, AND in-game videos!
